Equipping your Writer's bookshelf is one if the most important steps in growing your craft and moving through your journey to becoming a published author.
These three books are ones that we think EVERY writer should have in their arsenals.
Story Genius by Lisa Cron; Roget's Thesaurus for Writer's and How Not to Write a Novel by Howard Mittelmark.
Equip yourself with this top 3 pack!
I was very excited to receive my first Scripterbox and loved the wrapping and presentation of everything inside, it felt like receiving a gorgeous gift. Very pleased with all three books, they are really helping with getting my writing momentum happening again.
Scripter Box tempted me to their store on National Booklovers Day with their NBLD sales and this pack called to me, especially more engagement with Mr Roget and all the lovely words! Yesterday, Canberra went into a lockdown because, well, we all know why. After getting home from Woolies were I acquired "essentials" - chocolate, Twisties and tonic for my gin - the intercom buzzed. My naughty NBLD purchase had arrived. I knew unboxing would be a delight (I did a frivolous purchase of Past Boxes only a couple of weeks previously). I ripped open the box and popped it in the recycling and then carefully carried the gorgeously (and environmentally-friendly) wrapped treasures into the study for the unwrapping. I felt inspired just holding them. My desk has been set up for lockdown, 'cos we know it ain't gonna last 7 days, it's Delta!, the postcards and mini-posters blu-tacked about the desk and shelves, the books carefully placed with my other Writers Tools on the Thesis Sorting Table-Shelf built for me by The Father and The Nephews. Scripter Box delivers inspiration and loveliness. Day One of Lockdown was about Master Classing with Neil Gaiman, tomorrow I'll consolidate that learning by beginning 'Story Genius' and utilising the writing challenges included in this pack. Happy Writing!
